Trying to push myself to achieve much more. I was inspired a lot by the works of Olivier Ponsonnet and Max Wahyudi.

Modelled in 3ds Max 8 and textures all hand-painted in photoshop. Rendered in Mental-ray and hair with max's hair&fur. Some post-work done in photoshop.
I used splines and lathe modifiers to produce the wine glasses and wine. I also used two Vray lights and then used Vray to render the scene. First time using Vray, and it did a good job.

RGB Cells

At the time was interested in doing something different to what I normally like to do. This was based on an interesting little tutorial on creating a karamendos cell. Each cell like structure represents one of the three primary colours. I originally started off with a sphere and extruded some random faces a couple of times and muched around with lighting and materials, with post work done in photoshop. The tutorial in which I followed can be found here -
Critique much appreciated.

Disturbance in a Teacup

(Wow, first submission)

This is a rendering of a cup of tea that has been [somehow] disturbed, thus causing the ripple. ~The minute things can cause unbalance.

I poly-modelled the cup out of a cylinder using an 'actual' teacup for reference. I created the ripple with a flat cylinder object and added a ripple modifier, then converted it to an editable poly and modelled the droplet 'splash'. I created a simple plane for the ground, developed a hemisphere with an interior shot mapped onto it, and used 3 photometric target lights for illumination.

Modelled in 3DS Max, rendered with Mental Ray and post-work in Photoshop.
